Becoming Happy Again
Most people I know want to be happy. They want to feel good. If they don’t, there is something probably totally wrong with that picture.
Happiness is really a state of mind. Many of us become happy when we get what we want. It brings that smile to our face. We can also become happy or experience happiness when we hear good news, when we hear a good report or when we see something we like and it agrees with our belief system.
A person can have great satisfaction when he/she experiences things in life that make them happy. That experience you feel is what I call the "effects" of the love hormones or feel good hormones. Now some of these "hormones" technically are NOT really know specifically as hormones but are "known" as neurotransmitters.
Let's not get TOO technical here! These feel good hormones or neurotransmitters are what I am going to also call: “MR and MRS FEEL GOOD.”
YES, THEY WILL MAKE A MAJOR DIFFERENCE IN YOUR ATTITUDE.
We want them running through our bloodstream!!! Let me introduce you to them because they are already a major part of your life, but you may not aware of how they can help you.
There are 4 of them: Endorphin, Dopamine, Serotonin and Oxytocin.
Happy Hormone One- Endorphins block the pain- OH YES! Give me some of that! Has anyone out there ever been in any PAIN! They are the body’s natural painkillers (they are similar to the drug morphine in action).
Eating spicy foods helps to stimulate endorphins in our body. “ANAEROBIC” exercise helps to stimulate endorphins also. It’s not that they REALLY increase the AMOUNT OF FEELING GOOD in us, but because they can STOP the pain, this helps US to NOT feel so BAD! We always feel better when we are not in pain.

Happy Hormone Two-Serotonin- This hormone helps us to get in a BETTER MOOD! It helps us to be more free to socialize with the world, on our jobs, in our homes, driving our cars on the highway, and to deal with our husband and kids. YES, ladies we have got to have us some SEROTONIN! When we don’t have enough of this one girls, we are irritable and moody! Can I get a witness somebody!
